What to Expect in a Session

My absolute favorite is there are no right or wrong answers in this work.

Your job is simply to relax, notice what you notice, and understand that none of it needs to mean anything right away.

The massage table is used as a neutral, supportive base so the body can settle more fully. There is no massage and no manipulation happening, though gentle touch or light, localized pressure may be used when appropriate.

We usually begin with a few slower breaths and a simple body scan, noticing where attention naturally goes. We are not looking for pain, old stories, or the right answer. We are simply being present and paying attention.

Being that we are all unique and experience things differently, some people notice sensation in the body, vibration, tingling, warmth, coolness, emptiness, color, sound, emotion, or subtle shifts. Some notice very little at first. Some are all up in their head. All of it is okay.

You are welcome to share as much or as little as you want during the session. No two sessions are ever the same, and there is no single correct way for the work to unfold.
